Dreaming

Dreaming – was written when my wife’s pregnancy was still our little secret. The future was wide open & we were full of optimism. Oddly, the main melody came to me in a dream. I woke up & groggily sang into a micro-recorder.
The recording heard on the CD was done over a long time span. The basic tracks were recorded back in October of 1996. Starting on March of 1998, David laid down a bassline for the song. Over the decade since, each of us came up with new ideas & we revisited this recording several times. Over time, David has redone many of the guitars & added many more, and I re-did all of my vocal tracks. A very complex recording, there were well over 40 tracks by the time it was finished. A difficult song to mix.
