On and On

On and On – is a lighter take on the same first year. As difficult as it was, we had started bio-medical intervention & were already seeing improvements. I wrote this song very quickly. Moira & I had just finished watching a movie & the chorus popped into my head. I sang it into a micro-recorder & went to sit down again when the verse popped into my head. Before I went to bed I had the bridge.

The recording of On And On was done mostly at my desk at work during Christmas week. David & I worked together at the time & he suggested that Christmas week was a great time to work because NOTHING happened (as no one was there). After the first day I realized that no one had come into our office the entire day – we’d barely seen anyone. So I dragged my recording gear into work & set up right on my desk. David brought in an electric guitar & bass & we spent the week working out instrumental tracks to various songs – this one included.

So I allowed myself a day off to relax
But I just cannot catch a nap – oh no

Well it goes on and on
