Vico
Written in November of 1997 by Michael Giammatteo

Vico – was just a little tribute to the fact that Vico’s name (and therefore the boy himself) was unique. The song is in the tradition of Bob Dylan’s “Subterranean Homesick Blues” (and numerous other songs that followed it like “Mediate” by INXS, “Done Too Soon” by Neil Diamond, “It’s All Right For You” by the Police, “Life is a Rock” by Reunion & “We Didn’t Start the Fire” by Billy Joel). It was a lot of fun to write, creating a list of rhyming names.
The recording heard on the CD was done on March 3rd of 1998. When we were putting together the CD, David laid down a few guitar tracks to beef it up a bit. Finally, Andy came by & added a great guitar solo. I almost didn’t include it on the CD as I always considered it a bit of a “throwaway”, but I’m glad now that I did. And, yes, that is Vico’s baby babbling that you hear on this track.
