Who's Who
Michael Giammatteo (vocals,
keyboards) has been writing
and recording music since he bought his first 4-track open reel
back in 1980. He and Moira have become very involved in the autism
community since Vico's diagnosis threw their lives into turmoil
(as autism tends to do). He was delighted that the music he and
David were recording was having a positive impact on Vico and thrilled
when he found out that other children were responding to it as well.
It is his sincere hope that this CD may help our children in some
small way. This is Michael's first CD but, hopefully, not his last.
He can be seen performing in the Los Angeles area as part of Edge
Of Adhesion alongside David Wholihan.

| David Wholihan
(bass, guitar & backing vocals) started playing
guitar when he was 15, after many years of piano lessons. He took
informal lessons
for six months before moving to Los Angeles and has been self-taught
ever since. After eight years, he decided to expand his repertoire
and purchased a bass. He’s enjoyed playing both ever since.
Over the course of time, he and Michael learned they had the same
musical influences. While Michael had written songs for years, David
never had until Michael asked him to finish a song for him. They've
written together for a few years and are currently in a band called
Edge Of
Adhesion. They were both very enthusiastic about the idea of
recording children's songs to assist speech-delayed kids. While
the idea was great, the original execution was uninspired. After
some thought, they finally hit on the idea of doing the songs in
different genres of music. The project took off. They came up with
a list of songs to play and then tried to place each into a style
of music. The cover songs are some personal favorites they thought
would be appropriate for the project. David’s hope is that
this CD will become just one of a number of tools that parents can
use to help cure the debilitating affects of autism. Thank you so
much for your support!!

| Moira Giammatteo
(vocals) is the busy mommy of two beautiful kids, and
likes to pretend to be a rock star in her spare time. When she is
not trying to be one of the B52’s, Moira is busy taking Vico
to speech therapy, baking Gluten Free/Casein Free food for him and
trying to make sure that baby sister Culzean doesn’t get lost
in the craziness that is Autism. Moira recently was able to quit
her job in order to devote herself full time to the business of
taking care of the kids. She finds that although the fringe benefits
are great (hugs and kisses from her charges) the hours are long
and the pay isn’t so great. Moira’s hope is that parents
can use the TeamVico CD as one of the ways they can interact with
their child (Autistic or not!). Dancing around the kitchen is an
excellent way to use this CD. Moira also runs a support group for
parents of children with Autism that meets monthly in the San Fernando
Valley. This group is made up of proactive parents who meet to exchange
information about therapies and treatments for Autism and also has
professionals in the field come as guest speakers to share their
knowledge with the group. For more information about the support
group – please email her at

Matt Scrabis (drums) started playing drums at the tender age of nine in his elementary school, after noticing that when students were to line up for the instrument of their choice, all of his friends had lined up for percussion. Within a couple of years, most of his friends had moved on to guitar or stopped playing altogether. Matt continued his passion for drums throughout his youth all the way into college, exploring be-bop, big band and Latin music. After graduating from UCLA with a degree in Political Science, he concentrated on playing music for a living, not making much money in the endeavor. After much frustration and soul searching, Matt decided to stop playing music. It was, of course, a futile attempt. Once he regained his passion for music, now focusing on performing for the love instead of for the money, Matt began recording his own music as well as others. Currently, Matt is working as the Direct Services Coordinator at My Friend's Place, a resource and crisis center for homeless and high-risk youth in Hollywood (http://www.myfriendsplace.org ), and making a little extra money on the side recording others music and playing drums. He plans on getting his Masters degree in social work.

Andy Summers (lead guitar) was born and raised in Los Angeles and began playing the guitar back in high school. Mostly self-taught, his influences span the spectrum with roots in blues and jazz and stemming into modern rock with everything in between. By day he supports his guitar habit as a software engineer for a company in Woodland Hills, CA. He has since started his own company, Underwater Music, and has worked with producer Marino De Silva producing his own album with a few guest musicians from Canned Heat. He was very happy to help Team Vico with their noble efforts for children. He is currently entertaining locals in his cover band in the South Bay area. For more information about shows or Underwater Music, email info@underwatermusic.com for more information.
