Update (10/26/03):
The Simi Valley Unified School District recently
sent this letter to TeamVico.
|
| As a practicing Language/Speech Specialist,
I have found rhythm and rhyme to be effective facilitators
to encourage appropriate syntax, vocabulary building, and categorization.
TeamVico's Rock 'n' Roll for children is an excellent example of
such a facilitator. The upbeat and updated rendition of traditional
children's songs has particular appeal to my elementary school language
delayed population.
Thank you,
Marline Hunt, MA CCC SP 7496

| What a positive tool these songs can be for
parents to interact with their kids! The comfortable pacing provides
structure and easy identification withthe lyrics. The variety of
instrumentation allows a child to have change in routine, while
maintaining his or caregiver's interest. Sing together! Thanks for
the inspiration Vico.

After receiving and listening to the TeamVico Rock 'n'' Roll CD,
I have begun to utilize it with other autistic children. I have
found children with limited speech and attentional capacities becoming
more engaged while singing and dancing to the CD. Using the CD,
I have been able to elicit more and better language with my clients.
It is a fun for the children and allows me, as a therapist, to increase
interaction as well as receptive language by teaching the movements
that accompany some of the songs.
Thank you,

The need for music played at a slower rate
than is available on typical children's CD's is very great for Vico
and other children like him who cannot process the words at the
rapid rate usually found on most children's CD's. This CD provides
an entertaining and enjoyable way for these special children to
enjoy common children's songs and to understand the words so that
they can learn to sing them clearly.
